The pressure for children and young people to perform in examinations at younger ages creates an environment for increasing stress. Whilst there is much emphasis on how to attain information required to perform well and receive desired grades making sure there is a balanced approach to manage the tension and overwhelm of having to achieve is sorely overlooked. The rise of mental health conditions in children and young people is the fastest growing area of dis-ease in our upcoming generations which is an indicator of the change happening between us and our children and the effect our education system and its results-based model is having. The ever-increased pace at which life moves also takes its toll on how effectively we can meet the expectations of a speed dominated environment versus what our bodies, mind and spirits need.
In this workshop Ella.O will take your child/young person through natural wellness focused tools in order to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally resulting in a better sense of balance during trying times. Using conscious breathing, mindfulness and visualisation exercises can help your child to manage emotional overwhelm, to help them to feel calmer and concentrate. Children who use these systems experience relaxation and a deep sense of calm and peace. Parents have reported witnessing more balance and productivity in their children, placating of unpredictable emotional outbursts, soothing of anxiety and a deeper connection with their children.
