Thanks so much for stopping by, it's great to connect with you through the magic of the internet.  My name is Ella and this is my little window into the world to share who I am and what I do with those who want to connect.   I am a Reiki Master/Teacher, Reiki Drum Practitioner, Certified Transformational Breath® Facilitator and Group Leader who also teaches meditation in Hertford, Hertfordshire.   I am so pleased and blessed to be able to share the amazing work I do with the world because it is truly exquisite and when practised and used consistently will help you to work toward truly wonderful things.

I first came to meditation many, many years ago (I couldn’t possible say just how long ago) as part of a yoga practice that was introduced to me by my dad in a ‘check this out - can you do it?’ kind of way.   He made it fun and a bit silly so as a young girl it grabbed my attention.  My dad would spend many an afternoon ‘meditating’ on the sofa and my memory of those times were just enjoying spending the time with him and being able to take up the challenge of throwing some shapes and then being able to sit still!    Throughout the years, I have come back to meditation at various points for the peace of mind, connection and feeling of being reset that I came to know with meditation.    I even remember saying to my children when they had friends over that I needed 5 minutes to meditate so they kept the noise down to indulge me - god love em!    For the past few years, I have come to take on a daily meditation practice as an integral part of my daily life.

I came to Reiki in 2007 when it was recommended to me by a spiritual teacher as a way to help me manage and move forward at a very challenging time in my life that left me feeling very scared and anxious.   These feelings came from deep rooted fear that was born out experiences that I had gone through.   I was constantly worrying and this worry had me feeling tense, afraid to go to certain places and just not being able to enjoy many aspects of my life at the time.     It was suggested that I should try Reiki as a healing treatment to help me get over the feelings that I was experiencing.   It sounded like a great idea to me because it was clear that I could not go on the way that I was.   My first treatment felt so profound; I felt better and no longer plagued by my fear, I was able to travel around with ease which at that time was totally revolutionary for me.

I continued to use Reiki to address acute challenges both physical and emotional until 2013 when I was presented with an opportunity to take a new direction and make Reiki a more permanent part of my life by taking Reiki Level I in Hertford.   Using my new tool for self-healing and regularly giving treatments to my children I thoroughly enjoyed the access to calm and relaxation I had at my fingertips ;)   I continued to run the two businesses I had at the time; the stress and pressure was constant, and as well as Reiki, I was making use of yoga and meditation to help ‘rebalance’ and cope with life.   It was vital for me to be able to process the excess angst caused by incessant thoughts and patterns of behaviour.

 

 

 

 

Despite having a very competent tool bag at my disposal, I still managed to experience anxiety and subsequently panic attacks as the pressures in my life mounted and my ability to juggle the responsibilities I had was more and more compromised.    I continued to use my outlets but the anxiety and panic attacks persisted albeit with less regularity.   Then on an afternoon in January 2015 I attended an Introduction to Transformational Breath® Workshop at my then yoga studio, and my mind was blown.   I had never experienced a session with such power.  It seemed to cut right to my core, root out some stuff and relax me at the same time.   I felt tangibly different, lighter, less burdened and more connected, it just made sense to me.  I decided on that same afternoon I had to know more about the breath and undertook my training from that point onwards.

I first heard bout Reiki Drum through the magic of social media, and later had my first drum journey with my Reiki Master.   I loved how wonderfully relaxed I felt after the treatment along with the really deep work and images that came along with the journey.  It was a fantastic development to working with Reiki which was clearly felt by me and underlined when I undertook my training for my practitioner's certificate.

 

My site is a cocktail of approaches to empowerment, wellbeing and optimal living  littered with observations on life through various mediums all seen through my perspective and the little bits that make me uniquely me.   Without sounding cliché (which I know, it's too late, it's already happened) I love being around people.   I have great curiosity (bordering on nosiness ;) for other people because I learn so much from being around and speaking with other humans it is for me a big part of what life is all about.    Making connections and being able to affect others in a way that allows them to perhaps do something a little differently even if only by having a different thought that helps is where it is at for me.
